Title: Aerospace Material Handler
Duration: 6 months + possible extension/ FTE
Location: Van Horn, TX
Shift: Monday through Friday, 7AM - 5PM CST
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fulfillment Center Associate to support receiving, inventory control, material movement, and quality processes within a fast-paced operations environment. This role requires safe operation of material-handling equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify and escalate issues that could impact downstream quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, inspect, and document incoming shipments per standard operating procedures
- Perform quality control checks based on part number requirements
- Operate material-handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and turret trucks
- Accurately enter data into inventory management systems
- Package, label, sort, stage, and store materials to ensure traceability and workflow efficiency
- Audit inventory and storage locations per established procedures
- Identify process roadblocks and support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and PPE requirements
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Fulfillment Center, warehouse, or inventory operations experience
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality
- Basic math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures and Bills of Material
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
