Our client, a national law firm, is seeking a Patent Prosecution Attorney with a strong technical background. The ideal candidate will have experience in software, computer science, or electrical engineering fields.
Schedule: Hybrid 3/2
Billable Hours: 1,900
Responsibilities:
- Handle strategic aspects of multiple legal matters from inception to conclusion
- Communicate effectively with attorneys and clients
- Work independently and productively in Intellectual Property law
- Produce quality legal work and meet billing requirements
- Manage and generate business through group and individual efforts
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor
- A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Registered to practice before the USPTO
- 2-6 years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm or in-house
- Experience in preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications
- Previous non-legal experience in consumer electronics, software, web-based services, full-stack development, generative AI, machine learning, data structures, data storage, and databases is a plus but not required
