Job Description
We’re hiring a Commercial Estimator to support an expanding project pipeline for a well-established specialty contractor in the Tampa market. The company delivers drywall, interior and exterior wall systems, ceilings, and architectural specialties on high-profile commercial projects. This role plays a critical part in producing competitive estimates that win work and support long-term growth.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for commercial drywall, wall systems, ceiling systems, and architectural specialty scopes.
- Perform takeoffs, review drawings and specifications, quantify labor and materials, and build pricing models.
- Lead bid development efforts and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Utilize estimating platforms such as Quick Bid and OST (or equivalent).
- Partner closely with project management and operations teams to validate assumptions and ensure constructibility.
- Present bids clearly and confidently to internal leadership and external partners.
What You Bring
- Proven experience estimating commercial construction scopes (drywall, framing, ceilings, architectural wall systems).
- Strong proficiency with Quick Bid, OST, or similar estimating software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Competitive mindset with a strong focus on accuracy, strategy, and winning work.
