Job Description

SIE Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to partner with our HR Manager in planning, directing, and implementing EHS programs. This role ensures a safe work environment while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, DOT, EPA, NFPA, and other applicable regulations
  • Conduct safety observations, job safety analyses, and risk assessments; coach associates and implement mitigation strategies to reduce incidents
  • Lead incident response, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up for injuries, near misses, vehicle accidents, property damage, and environmental events
  • Manage workers’ compensation, motor vehicle collision, and property damage claims from initiation through closure
  • Design, deliver, and coordinate EHS training programs, safety initiatives, and accident prevention efforts
  • Track, analyze, and report safety metrics; administer regulatory reporting and documentation (OSHA, BLS, customer safety platforms)
  • Maintain customer and contractor safety compliance systems including ISNetworld, Avetta, Appruv, and Achilles/GRMS
  • Partner with leadership, HR, regulatory agencies, insurers, and medical providers to promote a strong, company-wide culture of safety

Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of EHS experience in an industrial environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal and State OSHA regulations and ANSI standards
  • OSHA 30 certification and environmental compliance experience a plus

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze regulations, write reports, and deliver effective training
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with ISNetworld, Avetta, Appruv, and Achilles/GRMS preferred

Travel Requirement

  • Willingness to travel by automobile across the Southeast
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required

Physical & Work Environment

  • Combination of office-based work and travel to branch facilities
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, climb, and perform physical activity during site visits

Supervisory Responsibility

  • No direct supervisory duties
  • Requires demonstrated leadership, influence, and accountability skills
