Job Description

Position Overview:

Mac Duggal is searching for a smart, eager, and confident individual to serve as an in house Fashion Assistant. The Fashion Assistant will work closely with lead designers on a daily basis. Our ideal candidate has the ability to multi-task and thrive in a flexible and often-changing work environment. This position is an opportunity to gain insights from top designers on the day to day business affairs and inner workings of a fashion house. We are looking for Fashion Assistant candidates who can grow with the company and be a valuable addition to the brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact between the executive and other colleagues
  • Manage the designers calendar and set up meetings
  • Handle and make calls for designer when needed
  • Draft emails/communications for the designer needed
  • Produce reports, enter products and orders to internal software system
  • Attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and provide general support of team
  • Assist on photo shoots
  • Running personal errands for designers when needed
  • Travel with designers (when COVID is over and it is safe to travel)
  • Assist the design team with overseeing large scale design projects through completion
  • Request quotes, pricing and samples from vendors.
  • Create proposals, purchase orders and finalize orders. Make sure items are shipped/received in time and work to replace any items that arrive damaged
  • Assist in preparing client presentations for meetings

• Excellent computer skills / ability to learn new software

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Professional discretion and ability to take direction well

• Ability to quickly learn the fashion business inside and out

• Eager to collaborate in a team environment

• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a flexible and often-changing work environment

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Excellent skills in all aspects of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Suite

• Strong attention to detail and self-starter

• CAD and Photoshop skills

• AIMS360 is a plus

Education Requirements:

  • College degree is a preferred and/ or relevant experience in the fashion industry.
