Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-oriented Front Desk Clerk to serve as the first point of contact for guests, visitors, and callers. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, providing customer support, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for individuals accessing the property, office, or facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and visitors upon arrival and provide assistance as needed
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate departments
- Manage check-in and check-out procedures, reservations, or appointment scheduling (as applicable)
- Maintain accurate records, files, and logs (guest logs, reservations, deliveries, etc.)
- Handle basic administrative tasks such as document filing, scanning, and data entry
- Collect payments, process transactions, and provide receipts when required
- Assist with coordinating services, room assignments, or visitor access
- Maintain front desk and lobby areas in a clean, organized, and welcoming condition
- Communicate promptly and professionally with internal staff and supervisors
- Resolve minor issues or escalate concerns to management as needed
Qualifications
- Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable handling phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, scheduling systems, POS/reservation platforms a plus)
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage a steady flow of activity
- Professional, positive, and service-oriented demeanor
Work Environment
- Fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- May involve prolonged periods of standing or walking depending on the setting
- May include evenings, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs
