  • Training for any multi-session programs will be provided by the Company at no charge to the contractor.
  • Contractor may be asked to attend trainings in-person, by phone or online.
  • Travel is considerable but variable in this position. Contractors may be asked to drive as far as 2.5 hours and/or 175 miles from their home, depending on their location in the region. Most programs and presentations occur during normal business hours (8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday) and many are during the lunch hour, so early mornings and late nights will be minimal. Generally, no overnights will be required.
  • There is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours. This position is assigned work on an as needed PRN basis – with 30 days’ notice of the assignment. Flexibility in schedule is expected.
  • The contractor’s main point of contact for scheduling and other administrative issues will be the regional health educator. Communication will be primarily via telephone and email.

Description of job duties:

  • Provide onsite or live webinar presentations for Company's employer groups and the community on a variety of health and wellness topics such as nutrition, physical activity, stress management and lifestyle behavior change.
  • These may be done as a single topic event, or as multi-week programs.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Preferred in health promotion or related field.
  • 3 or more year' experience in health education, including delivering presentations to groups.
  • At least one certification from a national health-related organization such as Well coaches, Intrinsic Coaching, National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching, ACE, CHES, ACSM, or another similar organization.
  • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills demonstrated by a short live presentation during your interview. Ability to present in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of core wellness topics such as nutrition, weight management, physical activity, and stress management.
  • Proficient with technology, including PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Must own a personal laptop computer.
  • Valid Florida driver's license with personal vehicle available for travel.
