Location: St. Petersburg, FL 33716
Shift: Tuesday–Saturday | 4:00 AM–12:30 PM OR 5:00 AM–1:30 PM
Our client in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Lab Associate to join their dynamic, fast-paced lab environment. This is a great contract opportunity with one of the most stable, innovative, and growing organizations in the veterinary diagnostics industry.
🔬 What You’ll Be Doing
- Performing laboratory analyses and running diagnostic test protocols
- Processing specimens & retrieving/releasing test results
- Supporting instrument testing for new/existing products
- Managing inventory and maintaining overall lab cleanliness
- Handling data entry, recordkeeping & administrative support
- Assisting with scheduling, shipping, and customer service activities
✅ Must-Haves
- Ability to read & follow SOPs, MSDSs, safety rules
- Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office; SAP is a plus)
- Comfortable being on your feet & lifting up to 25 lbs
- Willingness to work with biological specimens (blood, urine, fecals, biopsies)
⭐ Strong Nice-to-Haves
- Prior laboratory or diagnostic experience
- Background in Biology, Vet Tech, Vet Assisting
- Experience in high-volume environments
