Job Summary: Laundry Attendants are responsible for conducting all aspects of Laundry Operations in accordance with Delamar Brand Standards. They will maintain a focus of overall Laundry Facility cleanliness and efficiency which serves as your part to maintaining a flawless Housekeeping Department as a whole. Maintains a knowledgeable, respectful, and efficient Laundry Room presence ensuring guests feel secure, safe, and welcome when on property.

Housekeeping team members hold coveted positions where dedication to providing impeccable service and cleanliness is evident. The utmost standard of cleanliness and efficiency of the Delamar Traverse City is to be expected from the leader of the Housekeeping Team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Always recognize and warmly greet hotel guests whenever encountered within the hotel.
  • Attend daily department briefing sessions to receive the daily room assignments, special notices, general hotel information, and any activities that are going on.
  • Sort all linens and treat stains
  • Wash, Dry, Fold, and Stock all linen
  • Organize/Sort linen based on type, and put up neatly in the linen storage rooms.
  • Identify and Log all worn and torn linen that will be turned into rags.
  • Assist in the monthly linen inventory; when asked.
  • Be knowledgeable of all equipment, and how it’s used.
  • Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies, and communicate with Supervisor or Manager.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.

Required Experience/Requirements:

  • Previous Laundry and/or housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
  • Physical mobility and stamina.
  • Ability to follow instruction.
  • Professional and polite.
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
