Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or Special Education
- Experience with children 0-5 in a classroom setting OR must obtain Infant or toddler units
- Must have experience working with children with special needs
Must have teaching experience in a classroom
Job Description
- Screen for developmental delays and disabilities (like speech, motor, or cognitive challenges).
- Work with families and teachers to create (IFSPs) OR IEPs.
- Partner with parents to share observations and provide resources.
- Work with parents to set and achieve individual child goals.
- Keep up-to-date with weekly lesson plans, progress notes, anecdotal records, and necessary paperwork.
- Perform child screenings and assessments within the required timeframe.
Coordinate referrals to additional education, training, and support for children with special needs.
