Pharmacist – Long-Term Care Facility Pharmacy

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to support pharmacy management goals and ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications within a long‑term care environment. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
Job Duties
Execute daily pharmacy operations including workflow, production quotas, and deadlines.
Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy laws, DEA requirements, and third‑party payer rules.
Supervise pharmacy production staff to maintain proper order entry, workflow, security, and delivery schedules.
Verify accuracy of all new and refill prescriptions, labels, packaging, and drug content.
Prepare or oversee sterile IV drug products and solutions.
Assist with controlled substance management, including ordering, receiving, documentation, storage, and perpetual inventory for Schedule II medications.
Provide on‑call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Clear workflow dashboards daily to maintain operational efficiency.
Follow HIPAA and all applicable regulations.
Adhere to safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
Current pharmacy license in good standing.
Proficiency in clinical interpretation including drug‑drug, drug‑disease, drug‑food interactions, and allergies.
Strong English language skills (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension).
