Job Description

The Government Property Administrator is responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining auditable records of government-owned property located at company facilities and subcontractor sites. This role ensures compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and FAR/DFARS regulations while supporting internal and external audits, inventory management, and property lifecycle activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and auditable records for all government property, ensuring full lifecycle documentation (acquisition through disposition).
  • Ensure compliance with FAR 52.245-1, FAR Part 45, DFARS Part 245, and related contract clauses.
  • Conduct and reconcile government property physical inventories.
  • Support internal and external property audits, assessments, and reporting (e.g., LTDD, RODS, GFP Module, IUID Registry, and tax/property reports).
  • Coordinate with management, Contract Administrators, Program Managers, and DCMA Property Administrators to address property issues and ensure proper disposition of excess assets.
  • Review subcontractor and vendor property control systems, including on-site evaluations as required.
  • Prepare and submit required government property reports and documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance property control and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree and 4+ years, or Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years.
  • Experience: Prior experience in Government Property or Materials Control, Logistics, or Inventory Management.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS property regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/database systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently.
  • Preferred:
  • Familiarity with PIEE (GFP Module, IUID Registry).
  • NPMA certification (CPPS or higher).
  • Experience in a defense contracting environment.
