Job Description - Scientist II
You will work closely with a motivated team of dedicated scientists building, evaluating and developing novel wet-bench assays for molecular design and optimization, delivering differentiated molecules and accelerating the development of therapeutics across all modalities and indications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform DNA/RNA extraction, NGS library preparation, sequencing, and delivery of NGS data.
- Support the lab operations of the NGS core including reagent inventory and sample management.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of wet and dry lab scientists.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Genetics or other life sciences related field required
- 2+ years of industry experience in R&D setting
- Extensive experience and expertise in molecular biology techniques and methodologies related to nucleic acids manipulation including DNA and RNA extraction, purification, and quality control assessments
- Proficiency in experimental design and optimization
- Excellent computer skills in Windows, MS Office, and other commonly used scientific software
- Experience with EH&S training and practice in industry setting
- Exceptional documentation and record-keeping skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Hands-on NGS experience is a plus
- Command line and programming skills are a plus
