Position Details:
- Position: School Social Worker or School Counselor
- Location: Lake County, IL
- Grade Level: Pre K-2nd
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:45pm
- Caseload: Approximately 20
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support.
- Participate in IEP meetings and help develop service plans.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers.
- Deliver both individual and small group counseling.
- Maintain documentation and support compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or School Counseling.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SSW) or School Counselor endorsement – required.
- Experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged students.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and early intervention.
