Built on proprietary conversational AI technology, it functions as a virtual therapist capable of real-time, multilingual voice interaction, helping users improve their emotional well-being.
The Role
We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and optimize the systems powering myHoma’s real-time AI-driven experiences. You’ll work closely with the CTO and product team to develop backend services that support live conversational AI, audio streaming, transcription, and response generation.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain backend services for real-time audio streaming, transcription, and AI orchestration
- Design scalable, secure backend architecture and APIs (REST / WebSocket)
- Develop and optimize microservices for low-latency, high-reliability interactions
- Collaborate with AI, product, and frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiences
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability to ensure system stability
- Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
You Have
- Strong backend development experience with Python and modern frameworks
- Experience building real-time systems using WebSockets or similar streaming technologies
- Strong understanding of REST API design, microservices, and distributed architectures
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) and containerized deployments
- Knowledge of data storage patterns, message queues, and event-driven architectures
- Interest in AI systems, real-time interaction, or conversational technologies
Bonus
- Experience with audio streaming, speech-to-text systems, or LLM integrations
- Experience contributing to systems for consumer-facing apps with high engagement
- Familiarity with Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, or similar tools
