Senior Project Manager – Bridge & Transportation Projects
Location: Orange County, California
Overview
We are partnering with a rapidly growing heavy civil contractor specializing in transportation infrastructure to recruit a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple major bridge projects across Orange County and Southern California.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a proven bridge PM who can take full ownership of complex structural projects—from preconstruction through closeout—while mentoring teams and driving performance across schedule, safety, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple large-scale bridge projects , including new construction, widening, and rehabilitation
- Manage all phases of project delivery: preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution, and closeout
- Provide strategic leadership to Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field teams
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasting, and margin performance
- Drive schedule adherence and proactively mitigate project risks and change events
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, Caltrans/DOT agencies, designers, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Ensure full compliance with Caltrans/DOT requirements, safety standards, and quality control programs
- Support pursuit strategy, constructability reviews, and preconstruction planning for upcoming bridge work
- Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience , with a strong focus on bridge and transportation projects
- Proven track record as a Senior Project Manager or Lead Project Manager on bridge construction projects
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar contracts (DOT, Caltrans, public works preferred)
