Job Description

We are curently recruiting for a exciting Senior Project Manager Estimator opportunity with a leading California heavy civil contractor specializing in asphalt, grading, and paving projects that include residential, commercial, industrial, and public works such as aviation, levee construction, and roads and highways. This opportunity is available in the bay area and Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Project Managers.
• Understand client’s needs and the scope of the project.
• Estimate resources needed to complete projects.
• Oversee CPM, 3 Week, and 9 Day schedules.
• Manage the cost report, AR and AP aspect of assigned projects.
• Conduct site safety surveys to evaluate safety program implementation.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance to ensure Cal-OSHA compliance.

Qualifications:

• An Undergraduate degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 7-10 years’ experience managing civil engineering projects that include asphalt, grading, paving and jobsite safety.
• Ability to serve as a positive leader to employees, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Able to read and understand Plans and Specifications.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Plan Grid and scheduling software. Ability to learn new programs.
• Able to work in team and independent settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with internal and external personnel of all levels. Capable of negotiating with clients.
• Able to effectively multi-task and proactively problem solve in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
