Job Description

Seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Attorney to join a well-established Silicon Valley estate planning and elder law firm. This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys meaningful client interaction and wants to build a long-term career in estate planning, elder law, special needs planning, and estate tax matters. You’ll work directly with clients, manage your own matters with growing autonomy, and contribute to a highly collaborative and well-regarded legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on estate planning, elder law, trust and probate administration, and related tax issues.
  • Draft and review a range of legal documents, including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney.
  • Partner with senior attorneys on complex matters, ensuring high-quality and detail-oriented work.
  • Represent clients in probate proceedings and estate administration matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses to support case strategy and planning.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through clear communication and personalized service.
  • Design and implement estate and succession plans aligned with each client’s individual goals.
  • Keep current on developments in state and federal estate and tax law.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in estate planning, elder law, special needs, or estate tax planning.
  • Proven expertise in probate and estate administration processes.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities to manage complex cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to grow within a boutique law firm setting.
